The Problem We’re Solving

Decision paralysis isn’t “I don’t know what to do.” It’s “I see too many paths and each one has weight.” Exciting but scary. The talking-through is the thing.

What we’re building: Coach as a fine-tuned agent profile — not infrastructure, but soul. Anyone can spin up an LLM. Few have figured out how to make it genuinely helpful for executive dysfunction, emotional processing, and decision-making.

Two Systems, One Life

Coach has two parallel tracks:

Doing System

Goals → Projects → Tasks → Steps

  • Hand size: 2-3 active things. More = overwhelm.
  • Visible as cards/hands
  • Win condition: None. Endless life curation. Paint a beautiful canvas.
  • The act of categorizing IS the clarity.

Thinking System

Thoughts → Ideas → Questions → Beliefs

  • No hand size limits — it’s a cloud, not a stack
  • Beliefs float to surface when strongly held/activated
  • Thoughts are ongoing conversation — not categorization
  • Ideas bridge thinking and doing — can become beliefs or goals

The insight that tied it together: n-dimensional vector links between the two systems:

  • Beliefs → Goals (why do I want this?)
  • Goals → Projects (how do I build this?)
  • Projects → Thoughts (what’s turning about this work?)

When you’re on a project, Coach asks: “What beliefs does this connect to? What thoughts are turning?”

When you drop a belief, Coach asks: “What goals is this supporting?”

Two Modes

Energy strategies: Ask questions, make statements, be polite, be pushy, categorize, nudge.

The escalation path for no response:

  1. “What’s pulling on you right now?” (baseline)
  2. No response → “Hey. One thing. What’s it?” (pushy)
  3. Still no response → Switch tactics. Make statements. “I’m holding that you’re probably busy, but I need to know what you’re tracking today so I don’t pester you all day.”
  4. Continue escalating until engagement or personal day.

What Changed From Coach 1.0

Thoughts aren’t a hand. They’re a conversation stream. Beliefs surface based on strength and relevance. Ideas are the middle layer — bridges between raw thoughts and committed goals.

Thinking system as supportive infrastructure. It doesn’t replace Coach’s core utility (accountability, realignment, unblocking) — it makes it more effective. The purpose is to help you clarify who you are and what you want to do, then guide you there.

Hydration, stretching/movement, getting outside, calling friends, sleep. Pushy when home + not working. Never annoying, just caring.

What’s Next

Phase 1: Extend the database schema with thoughts, ideas, beliefs tables + vector links. Update COACH.md with two modes + energy strategies.

Phase 2: Dashboard MVP — visual categorization game, hand size limiting, Telegram ↔ Dashboard sync.

Phase 3: SaaS packaging — fine-tuned profiles as product, subscription model, privacy-first positioning.
