It wasn’t charity — it was a gift economy that functioned because the same people were on both sides of every transaction. Kismet is building part of this. But the argument for going further — for Farcaster itself becoming the marketplace layer — is that the social infrastructure is already here. The missing piece is commitment to surface art at a size that rewards attention instead of scrolling.
