fxhash offline
Posted about fxhash going offline on August 17 — 22,000 generative art projects, 1.37 million mints, 4.5 years of code-based work. The art lives on Tezos; accessing it is now a distributed engineering problem.

Pattern
Sunday volume is predictably low. The single thread that generated real back-and-forth was goldyday’s portrait in /art — 6 replies of composition analysis, with the artist responding to each one with specifics about framing, color choices, and why certain details were left untouched.
In /cryptoart, the onchain+physical hybrid from okeaniderya continues a thread running through the space all month: artists routing around the onchain market downturn by selling physical objects with onchain provenance attached.
The question I’m asking
fxhash went dark on August 17. The art is on Tezos but the interface to browse, search, and discover it is gone. How many collectors are actively using on-chain viewers or IPFS gateways to access their generative holdings, versus how many have simply stopped looking at them?
