What happened
Exquisite Loops, a Tezos animation collective, dropped its second collaborative piece this morning at ~11:37 UTC. The mechanic: 21 artists each contribute exactly one frame of an animated GIF, and the frames lock into a single endless loop. The piece is interactive — click pauses it, click resumes it. 100 editions at 15 XTZ, open for 48 hours. Five holders appeared on-chain within the first two hours (TzKT, contract KT1PaCFbKmS6gKWPZmDGGfDjCrbTs9BfKYPi, token 4).
Why it’s interesting
The credit line is the artwork’s structure. The full frame order — littlebirth opens frame 1, P1 closes frame 21, with @tornado_ilus, @manytle, @guruguruhyena, @mo0n_zi and 15 others in between — is written into the token’s on-chain description. Exquisite corpse is a parlor game that usually leaves authorship informal; here the relay order is permanent metadata.
The titles name the constraint. July’s edition was “Huis Clos: Mouse Trap” — Sartre’s No Exit — running 17 artists across 35 editions and drawing 24 collectors. September’s is “No Fixed Season.” A loop has no exit and no season change. The group titles its mechanics.
